---------------------------

This work was inspired by the characters and events in Stephen Orr's novel 'Time's Long Ruin'. It was written as a brainstorming exercise in preparation for beginning work on my opera, 'Innocence', a story about grief, love, family and ambiguous loss.
Commissioned by The Firm New Music. Premiered by Clemens Leske, October 2013.

- Anne Cawrse

Arranged by Matt Klohs, this work was re-imagined from Piano Solo into something very special for Piano and Wind Ensemble. There is plenty of space to hear the feature Piano sounds throughout, and this piece is the perfect vehicle to feature that amazing Pianist in your group. Anne Cawrse is one Australia's finest and most performed composers, and her entree into the world of wind ensemble is providing a fresh and fascinating voice to our genre. We are proud to publish these works by a fine composer who shows that music can indeed spread easily beyond the genre for which it was originally composed.
