Another gem from the pen of the master musician and educator, Mark Ford. This work is reminiscent of the "jive" one needs to do to get a table in the busy cafe strip of Hampton Street, Melbourne, on a Friday night or Saturday morning. Much more approachable than it looks, the woodwind patterns are repetitive and a good "reach challenge" for developing high school musicians and community bands alike.
This one's fun, bluesy and bright in tempo throughout. Enjoy!
