Sydney's Jack Hwang is a rising star in composition, and this work is the beginning of a very exciting future for him (and those of us who will get to perform his music!)
Featured recently in an all-Australian concert alongside some of the giants of composition in this country, Jack's piece "Beyond The Lucent Portal" shows a maturity and mastery well beyond his young age. His ability to "melt" tense and dissonant chords into calming and "exhaling" major triads is quite stunning, and indeed a feature of this work.
This piece is an opportunity to begin to travel through a long musical journey with a phenomenal young Australian composer, and we invite you to jump on board!
