Description
Commissioned by Churchlands Senior High School, Perth, Western Australia, this suite of little dances is suitable for High School or Community Bands of Intermediate level.
It features a Tudor Waltz, a Tango, a Celtic Dance, a Spanish Dance and a Cossack Dance. Each dance has several teaching moments for developing musicians with specific techniques being employed in ways that are logical and typical of the type of dance being played.
It features cued solos and optional ornamentations in places to allow for the stretching of more experienced players in the ensemble.
