Around the World is a fun Alto Saxophone feature with a driving Latin-Jazz groove, catchy melodic phrases and cool harmony. This work is sure to get your audience's feet tapping and may cause spontaneous dancing. It opens with a Middle-Eastern mood before erupting into a joyful Latin dance.
The solo section in the middle is fully notated, however chord symbols have also been provided should the soloist wish to improvise. With the exception of the featured Alto Saxophone part, all of the other parts can be doubled (for example, if you have three trombones, all can read the trombone part and play in unison). The piece has been arranged so that it will cope with uneven instrumentation fairly well.
