Frankie Dyson Reilly is an emerging Australian composer from Brisbane, Queensland.
"Tuska" was awarded the winning prize in the Australian Women's Wind Band Composition Competition in 2019 and delightfully captures the bombastic yet loving nature of her own Orange Beagle after whom the piece is named.
The piece should be performed with a sense of fun and (mis)adventure, but should always be even and rhythmical. The work is written in the hope that musicians and audiences alike will feel a connection with Tuska, and in this way to create a sense of joy for all.
